UC Foundation Equity Scholarships are for our most underrepresented students, including students who are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander, who have carer responsibilities, sole parent responsibilities, long term medical condition(s) or disability/ies or ongoing effects of abuse, refugee status, or face regional or remote disadvantage or financial hardship.
They are some of the most underrepresented groups in our community, and we want to ensure they have a decent shot at this!
Students from these groups often do not have access to other financial resources, can have pressing family commitments and can find the pressure of studying full time extremely difficult in light of their other responsibilities.
